Your protection is tested and certified periodically. In between, you’re trusting that nothing has changed. But things change — electrodes corrode, soil dries out, a grader clips a down conductor, a surge device silently exhausts its life, and copper runs get stolen. A certificate can’t warn you. Continuous monitoring can.

Earthing

Earth resistance and impedance, continuity of down conductors and earth mats, and immediate theft-and-breakage alerts the moment continuity is lost. Measured by GeoGuard, our own instrument, applying the fall-of-potential and clamp-on methods of the international reference standard (IEEE 81) — continuously, not once a year.

Surge protection (SPD)

Live device status, MOV degradation and end-of-life signalling — so a spent surge device is flagged the day it needs replacing, not discovered after it's failed to protect your equipment.

Lightning protection

Strike counting, air-termination and down-conductor integrity, integrated with lightning-warning data so strikes near your site are logged automatically against your protection performance.

Cathodic protection

Pipe-to-soil potential, rectifier output current and voltage, anode consumption and reference-electrode readings — continuous condition monitoring for pipelines, tanks and buried structures.

Why us, not a generic IoT platform

Anyone can stream the numbers. We can sign for them.

A general-purpose IoT provider can stream numbers off your site. What they can’t do is tell you whether those numbers mean your protection is compliant, sign the certificate that says so, or send a crew to put it right. That gap is the whole point.

We interpret, not just display.

Raw earth-resistance data means nothing without knowing what “good” looks like under SANS 10313 and IEC 62305. Our engineers do — it’s been our core business for years.

Frequently asked

No — and we won't pretend it does. Some things can only be checked by a person on site: corrosion, physical damage, bonding, the state of connections. Our model is deliberately hybrid: continuous instrument measurement between visits, plus a physical examination and a signed certificate from our own engineers. What the monitoring changes is how often we need to be on site, and how much we already know before we arrive — the visits get shorter and better targeted, not eliminated.
